In 1914, our company's first product was a cup made of waxed paper. The inspiration behind this invention came from a quick-thinking medical officer called Dr Crumbine from Texas. He witnessed a girl about to drink from the same cup as a man infected with tuberculosis, and created a makeshift cup by folding a piece of paper to prevent her from getting infected. This was a remarkable innovation for its time.
